As the owner of Quite Contrary Gifts, cancer has deeply impacted my life. I am a two-time cancer survivor (thyroid and kidney) and must undergo regular preventative scans due to a gene mutation. My child battled Hodgkin's Lymphoma at just 16. My mother and all four of her siblings had cancer, with three losing their fight. My grandfather passed within months of his diagnosis. I have seen firsthand the toll this disease takes, and I know that no one should have to endure it.

Beyond cancer, I also live with chronic illnesses and chronic pain. Through it all, I’ve found that humor is my greatest coping mechanism—it helps me push forward, and I hope to bring that same light to others.
